Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B, full length, Recombinant, Human (PTP1B)

Full-length (aa1-436) PTP1B with N-terminal GST-tag (GenBank Accession No. M31724), Specific Activity: ~2,000 pmole/min/ug. One unit will hydrolyze 1nmol p-nitrophenyl phosphate per minute at pH 7.4 and 30°C, Assay Buffer: 50mM Hepes, pH 7.4, 2mM EDTA, 3mM DTT, 100mM sodium chloride, 50mM pNPP. Applications: Suitable for use in enzyme kinetics, regulation, to dephosphorylate target substrates and for screening inhibitors. Other applications not tested. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months.For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
