G9a, active human recombinant protein (expressed E. coli)

Active human G9a (euchromatic histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2) (GenBank Accession No. NM_006709) (amino-acids 785-1210), with N-terminal GST tag, MW = 74.6 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system. Assay conditions: 50 µl reaction mix (50 mM TRIS pH8.8, 5 mM MgCl2, 4 mM DTT, 20 µM S-adenosylhomocysteine, and 0-40 ng G9a) add to the wells coated with the substrate. Incubate for 1 hr. Add antibody against methylated K9 residue of histone H3, incubate 1 hr. Finally, incubate 1h with the Europium-labeled secondary antibody. Time resolved fluorescence measured at room temperature (Lambda exc=330 nm, Lambda em=620 nm).
