AB-005 is a synthetic cannabinoid (CB) built on a 1-[(1-methylpiperidin-2-yl)methyl]-indole base that is characteristic of a series of potent CBs, including AM1220 (Cay-9001055), AM1241 (Cay-10010118), and AM1248 (Cay-11282). The addition of a tetramethylcyclopropyl group has, in some cases, increased selectivity of synthetic CBs for the peripheral CB2 receptor. The physiological and toxicological properties of this compound have not been established.
