Amfenac is an inhibitor of COX-1 and COX-2 (IC50s =15.3 and 20.4 nM, respectively, for the recombinant human enzymes) and the active metabolite of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) nepafenac (Cay-23700).
