Methsuximide

Methsuximide is an anticonvulsant. It is a substrate for the cytochrome P450 (CYP) isoform CYP2C19 and inhibits the metabolism of chlorproguanil and proguanil (Cay-30675) when used at a concentration of 100 µM. Methsuximide (100 mg/kg) protects against leptazol-induced convulsions in rats.
