A mixture of cis-IRIB and trans-ISRIB, trans-ISRIB decreases ATF4-induced increases in gene transcription more effectively than cis-ISRIB in a reporter assay using HEK293T cells (IC50s = 5 and 600 nM, respectively), trans-ISRIB decreases the latency to escape in the Morris water maze and increases the length of freezing time induced by contextual fear conditioning in mice.
