BAY-899 is an antagonist of the luteinizing hormone receptor (LHR, IC50s = 185 and 46 nM for the human and rat receptors, respectively). It is selective for LHR over thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) receptors (IC50s = 24 and >16 µM, respectively, for the human receptors) and a panel of 25 G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) at 10 µM.
