BAY-6672 is an FP receptor antagonist (IC50 = 11 nM). It is selective for the FP receptor over the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) receptor subtypes EP1, EP2, EP3, and EP4 (IC50s = >10, >10, >10, and >9. µM, respectively), as well as IP and DP receptors (IC50s = >10 µM for both). In vivo, BAY-6672 (30 mg/kg) reduces lung Il-1beta levels and fibrosis in a mouse model of silica-induced pulmonary fibrosis..
