BAY-1161909 is an inhibitor of monopolar spindle 1 (Mps1, IC50 = 0.34 nM). It inhibits metaphase arrest induced by the antimitotic agent nocodazole (Cay-13857) in HeLa cells (IC50 = 56 nM). BAY-1161909 inhibits proliferation in a panel of 86 cancer cell lines (median IC50 = 6.7 nM).
