Acotiamide (hydrochloride)

Acotiamide is an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE, IC50 = 0.384 µM). It potentiates ACh-induced contraction of isolated guinea pig gastric and antrum strips when used at a concentration of 3 µM. Formulations containing acotiamide have been used in the treatment of functional dyspepsia.
