The poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) form a family of enzymes with roles in DNA repair and apoptosis. 1,5-Isoquinolinediol is an inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) synthetase (PARP1, IC50 = 0.39 µM).
