Hygromycin B 50mg/ml Solution (Streptomyces hygroscopicus)

Hygromycin B is an aminoglycosidic antibiotic which inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria, fungi and mammalian cells and is used to select prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells that have been transfected with the Hygromycin gene (hyg, hph, HMA, HM+). Source: Streptomyces hygroscopicus , Purity (HPLC): > 76%, Bioassay: 300-500units/mg solution , Density: 1.13g/ml, Concentration: 50mg Hygromycin B/ml , Form: Supplied as a liquid. Prepared with RNase, DNase-free, molecular biology grade water (W0900). Sterile-filtered (0.2um). Recommended Concentration Range: 25-1500ug/ml E.coli JM 83: 25-200ug/ml, Human: 50-400ug/ml, Saccharomyces cerevisiae: 200ug/ml, Chicken: 1500ug/ml, Tobacco: 20-200ug/ml, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
