Product Description: Nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 1 (NR4A1) is an orphan nuclear receptor that functions as a transcription factor. It binds to the NGFI-B response element (NBRE) and regulates gene expression involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis, and inflammation. NR4A1 can be induced by various stimuli, including growth factors and stress, and plays roles in energy homeostasis, immune regulation, and vascular response to injury. The protein can translocate from the nucleus to mitochondria, triggering apoptosis. In macrophages, NR4A1 regulates metabolic adaptations during inflammation by repressing genes involved in the citric acid cycle.
