Recombinant Human UbE2R2

Recombinant Human UbE2R2 is an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. As a component of the E1-E2-E3 enzymatic cascade, it participates in the transfer of ubiquitin to target proteins. CK2-mediated phosphorylation of UbE2R2 is required for its association with the beta-TrCP-containing SCF E3 ligase complex. UbE2R2 primarily catalyzes the formation of K48-linked polyubiquitin chains, which serve as degradation signals for proteasomal turnover of substrate proteins. This recombinant protein contains an N-terminal 6×His tag and a thrombin cleavage sequence for convenient purification and downstream applications.
