Oligosaccharide 4-alpha-D-glucosyltransferase 31A (CjOag31A), assigned the E.C. number 2.4.1.161, is a derivative of Cellvibrio japonicus. It is an enzyme that transfers the non-reducing terminal alpha-D-glucose residue from a 1,4-alpha-D-glucan to the 4-position of a free glucose or of a glucosyl residue at the non-reducing terminus of a 1,4-alpha-D-glucan. The recombinant CjOag31A, purified from Escherichia coli, is a single-domain Glycoside Hydrolase family 31 (GH31) enzyme (see more details at www.cazy.org).The protein is supplied in a solution containing 35 mM NaHepes buffer (pH 7.5), 750 mM NaCl, 200 mM Imidazole, 3.5 mM CaCl2, and 25% (v/v) glycerol, at a concentration of 1 mg/mL.
