Recombinant Human Galectin-1 is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Ala2-Asp135 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Protein function: Lectin that binds beta-galactoside and a wide array of complex carbohydrates. Plays a role in regulating apoptosis, cell proliferation and cell differentiation. Inhibits CD45 protein phosphatase activity and therefore the dephosphorylation of Lyn kinase. Strong inducer of T-cell apoptosis. [The UniProt Consortium]
