Human GNMT, recombinant (N-6His)

Recombinant Human Glycine N-Methyltransferase is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Asp295 is expressed with a 6His tag at the N-terminus. Protein function: Catalyzes the methylation of glycine by using S- adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) to form N-methylglycine (sarcosine) with the concomitant production of S-adenosylhomocysteine (AdoHcy). Possible crucial role in the regulation of tissue concentration of AdoMet and of metabolism of methionine. [The UniProt Consortium]
