9(S)-Hexahydrocannabinol-d9 (exempt preparation) (Cay-44686) is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of 9(S)-hexahydrocannabinol (Cay-37942, Cay-27501) by GC- or LC-MS. 9(S)-Hexahydrocannabinol is structurally similar to known phytocannabinoids. It induces drowsiness, decreased motor activity, occasional partial ptosis, and occasional head drop, markers of psychotropic activity, in rhesus monkeys. 9(S)-Hexahydrocannabinol-d9 is regulated as a Schedule I compound in the United States. 9(S)-Hexahydrocannabinol-d9 (exempt preparation) (Cay-44686) is provided as a DEA exempt preparation.
