Lucidenic Acid B

Lucidenic acid B is a triterpenoid that has been found in G. lucidum and has anticancer activity. It inhibits Epstein-Barr virus early antigen production induced by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (TPA, Cay-10008014) in Raji Burkitt lymphoma cells. Lucidenic acid B inhibits the growth of COLO 205, HepG2, HL-60, and HT-29 cancer cells (IC50s = 249, 112, 19. and 382 µM, respectively) and induces apoptosis in HL-60 leukemia cells when used at concentrations ranging from 5 to 100 µM. It also inhibits TPA-induced invasion of HepG2 cells.
