Lipid CP-LC-1422 is an ionizable cationic amino lipid derived from homocysteine, a naturally occurring amino acid. This lipid has demonstrated an efficient delivery and high protein expression of different kinds of RNA (mRNA, cRNA and saRNA) in vivo. Moreover, using a typical LNP formulation (IL/Ch/DOPE/PEG: 50/38.5/10/1.5), it has shown to induce specific spleen targeting much more efficiently that other commercial alternatives through IV injection, with no signs of toxicity..
