BiP-20 is an ionizable cationic lipid that has been used in the formation of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for the delivery of mRNA and single-guide RNA (sgRNA) in vivo. LNPs containing BiP-20 are targeted to the liver. BiP-20-containing LNPs encapsulating Cas9 mRNA and transthyretin (TTR) sgRNA decrease serum levels of TTR in mice to a greater extent than LNPs containing LP-01 (Cay-37278)..
