iFluor(R) 405-dextran conjugate (average MW = ~10K)

iFluor® 405-dextran conjugate (average MW = ~10,000 Da) is a water-soluble fluorescent probe consisting of a 10 kDa dextran backbone labeled with the bright, blue-emitting iFluor® 405 fluorophore. With excitation and emission maxima at approximately 403 nm and 427 nm, respectively, this conjugate is well-suited for use with violet laser-based instruments in applications such as flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and in vivo imaging. The dextran carrier facilitates efficient uptake by cells and tissues, making the conjugate ideal for tracking endocytosis, analyzing vascular permeability, and labeling fluid-phase compartments. iFluor® 405 is spectrally similar to Pacific Blue® and offers excellent photostability and low background fluorescence, enabling consistent and reliable signal detection. The conjugate is supplied as a lyophilized powder and is readily soluble in aqueous buffers for immediate experimental use.
