Alexa Fluor(R) 488 is a bright, green-fluorescent dye with excitation ideally suited for the 488 nm laser line. It is used for stable signal generation in imaging and flow cytometry. AF488 tetrazine demonstrates exceptionally fast reaction with trans-cyclooctenes (TCO) as the dienophile, the fastest kinetics ever reported for any biorthogonal reaction. It provides a convenient tool for making biological conjugates with TCO-modified substrates. The resulted conjugates provide the bright, green fluorescence of Alexa Fluor(R) 488 (Alexa Fluor is the trademark of ThermoFisher Scientific).
