SJ000063181 (6. µM) induces ventralization, as well as increases expression of the BMP target genes bmp2b and szl and the cooperatively induced BMP target genes vent and vox in zebrafish embryos. It also increases the stability of survival motor neuron protein (SMN, EC50 = 1. µM) in a reporter assay using the SMN2 gene, which produces an unstable truncated SMN protein..
