Schaftoside

Schaftoside is a flavonoid C-glycoside that has been found in C. annum and has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. It inhibits xanthine oxidase with an IC50 value of 51.4 µM and has antioxidant activity in a beta-carotene-linoleic acid bleaching assay (IC50 = 46.3 µM).
