Ombitasvir

Ombitasvir is an orally bioavailable and potent inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) non-structural protein 5A (NS5A). It reduces HCV replication in stable replicon cell lines with EC50 values ranging from 0.82 to 19.3 pM against genotypes 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 4a, and 5a and an EC50 value of 366 pM for genotype 6a. Against subgenomic replicons from clinical isolates of genotypes 1a-6a expressed in Huh-7 derived cells, ombitasvir inhibits HCV replication with EC50 values ranging from 0.1 pM for genotype 4a to 68 pM for genotype 6a.
