Shows antibacterial (Gram-positive), antifungal, antitumor and antiviral activity. Disrupts membrane potential and Golgi apparatus in mitochondria. NLRP3/NALP3 activator. Signals through pannexin-1 to induce caspase-1 maturation and IL-1beta processing and release.
