L-3-n-Butylphthalide

L-3-n-Butylphthalide is a phthalide that has been found in A. graveolens and has antiplatelet and neuroprotective activities. It inhibits ADP-, collagen-, and arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation ex vivo when administered at doses ranging from 3 to 100 mg/kg and inhibits thrombus formation in a collagen and epinephrine-induced rat model of experimental thrombosis.
