Isolariciresinol is a lignan that has been found in Cornus officinalis and has diverse biological activities. It scavenges ABTS (Cay-27317) radicals in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 19.4 µM) and inhibits LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages (IC50 = 84.45 µM).
