Rugulosin ( form) (Radicalisin)

Rugulosin is an intense yellow pigment produced by some fungal species of Penicillium, Aspergillus and the fungal symbiotants of some lichens. Rugulosin shows antibacterial and insecticidal activity and has found application as a bioinsecticide, notably as the active secondary metabolite in endophytic fungi of seedlings. Source: Penicillium sp. MST-FP2038 , Apperance: Yellow brown solid, , Solubility: Soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO. Limited water solubility. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
