Product Description: Ring finger protein 150 (RNF150) is a member of the ring finger protein family, which are predominantly E3 ubiquitin ligases involved in tagging proteins for degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system, and is predicted to enable ubiquitin protein ligase activity and participate in ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic processes. RNF150 is expressed in various human tissues, with RNA expression data indicating broad tissue distribution, including the brain, digestive tract, and reproductive organs. Functional analyses suggest RNF150 may play a role in heparin binding pathways, potentially interacting with genes such as SLIT2 and RSPO3, and is correlated with mismatch repair genes (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2), indicating a possible involvement in genomic stability. Clinically, RNF150 expression is significantly downregulated in gastric cancer (GC) compared to normal gastric mucosa, and lower RNF150 mRNA levels are associated with better survival outcomes in GC patients.
