Product Description: NFKB inhibitor epsilon (NFKBIE), or Nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells inhibitor, epsilon, is a protein that inhibits the NF-kappaB transcription factor complex by trapping it in the cytoplasm. This protein is encoded by the NFKBIE gene located on chromosome 6 in humans. NFKBIE binds to components of NF-kappaB, preventing it from activating genes in the nucleus. The NF-kappaB complex is crucial for various cellular processes, including immune responses and inflammation.
