Product Description: 5'-nucleotidase (NT5E), also known as CD73, is an ecto-enzyme that plays a crucial role in purine metabolism by hydrolyzing extracellular adenosine monophosphate (AMP) into adenosine and inorganic phosphate. This enzymatic activity is vital for regulating adenosine levels in the extracellular space, influencing various physiological processes such as immune response, inflammation, and tissue repair. NT5E is expressed on the surface of various cell types, including lymphocytes and endothelial cells, where it also functions in cell adhesion and migration.
