Product information "VOPP1, Recombinant, Human, aa82-172, His-tag (Vesicular, overexpressed in cancer, prosurvival protei"
Vesicular, overexpressed in cancer, prosurvival protein 1(VOPP1), also known as Glioblastoma-amplified secreted protein (GASP), has been previously shown to be over-expressed in human glioblastoma multiforme and squamous cell carcinoma. VOPP1 is a key regulator of NF-kappaB signaling, and that high-level, amplification-mediated VOPP1 expression, such as that occurring in tumors with amplified EGFR, could contribute to resistance to apoptosis. Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant coresponding to aa82-172 of human VOPP1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. AA Sequences: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MRRRMYPPPL IEEPAFNVSY TRQPPNPGPG AQQPGPPYYT DPGGPGMNPV GNSMAMAFQV PPNSPQGSVA CPPPPAYCNT PPPPYEQVVK AK, Molecular Weight: ~12kD (112aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
