Product information "SEPT5, Recombinant, Human, aa1-369, His-tag (Septin-5, CDCREL, CDCREL-1, CDCREL1, H5, PNUTL1)"
SEPT5, also known as septin-5, belongs to the septin gene family of nucleotide binding proteins, originally described in yeast as cell division cycle regulatory proteins. Septins are highly conserved in yeast, Drosophila, and mouse and appear to regulate cytoskeletal organization. Disruption of septin function disturbs cytokinesis and results in large multinucleate or polyploid cells. Purified by using conventional chromatography. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-369 of human SEPT5, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
