Product information "RAB13, Recombinant, Human, aa1-200, His-tag (Member RAS Oncogene Family, RAS-associated Protein RAB1"
RAB13 (Ras-related protein Rab-13) belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Members of the RAB protein family are nontransforming monomeric GTP-binding proteins of the Ras superfamily that contain 4 highly conserved regions involved in GTP binding and hydrolysis. RAB proteins are also an integral part of endocytic pathways. The GTPase Rab13 regulates the assembly of functional epithelial tight junctions (TJs). It is expressed at all stages of preimplantation development. Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-200 of human RAB13, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli. AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MAKAYDHLFK LLLIGDSGVG KTCLIIRFAE DNFNNTYIST IGIDFKIRTV DIEGKKIKLQ VWDTAGQERF KTITTAYYRG AMGIILVYDI TDEKSFENIQ NWMKSIKENA SAGVERLLLG NKCDMEAKRK VQKEQADKLA REHGIRFFET SAKSSMNVDE AFSSLARDIL LKSGGRRSGN GNKPPSTDLK TCDKKNTNKC, Molecular Weight: ~24.7kD (220aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF, Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
