Human Peroxiredoxin I, full length with N-terminal HIS6 tag, MW 23kD, expressed in a Baculovirus... more
Product information "Peroxiredoxin 1, recombinant human (PRDX1)"
Human Peroxiredoxin I, full length with N-terminal HIS6 tag, MW 23kD, expressed in a Baculovirus infected Sf9 cell expression system. Peroxiredoxin I is a member of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduce hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides. The encoded protein may play an antioxidant protective role in cells, and may contribute to the antiviral activity of CD8(+) T-cells. This protein may have a proliferative effect and play a role in cancer development or progression. , Specific Activity:, ~500 pmol/min/ug. 1.88ug of PRDX1 was incubated in 50mm Hepes, pH 7.0 containing 200um NADPH, 3um thioredoxin, and 1.5um thioredoxin teductase. The reaction mixture was incubated at 30ºC for 5 min, followed by the addition of 0.22mM H2O2. NADPH oxidation was monitored (fluorescence derease) for the next 10 minutes. Storage and Stability: May be stored at -20°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
