Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a polypeptide growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. Recombinant murine EGF is a 6kD protein containing 53aa residues. Source: Recombinant mouse Epidermal Growth Factor, aa977-1029, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: 6kD , Biological Activity: , ED50 is 0.1-0.2ng/ml as determined by a cell proliferation assay using BALB/c 3T3 cells. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) , Applications: , Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
