DNAL4 is a component of the dynein motor complex in cells which converts the chemical energy contained in ATP into the mechanical energy of movement. Dynein transports various cellular cargo by "walking" along cytoskeletal microtubules towards the minus-end of the microtubule, which is usually oriented towards the cell center. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-105 from human DNAL4, fused to His-tag at N-terminus expressed in E.coli. AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGETEGKKDE ADYKRLQTFP LVRHSDMPEE MRVETMELCV TACEKFSNNN ESAAKMIKET MDKKFGSSWH VVIGEGFGFE ITHEVKNLLY LYFGGTLAVC VWKCS, Molecular Weight: ~14.1kD (125aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
