Gro-alpha /KC (CXCL1) purity was determined to be greater than 97% as determined by HpLC, analysis by UV-Spectroscopy at 280nm, and by reducing and non-reducing SDS-pAGE. Protein function: Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. Contributes to neutrophil activation during inflammation. Hematoregulatory chemokine, which, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. KC(5-72) shows a highly enhanced hematopoietic activity. [The UniProt Consortium]
