Coenzyme A (CoA, CoASH, HSCoA) is a coenzyme that facilitates enzymatic acyl-group transfer reactions and supports the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids. CoA is involved in the mechanisms of a wide variety of enzymes. Source: Yeast, Synonyms: CoA trilithium salt, CoA, CoASH, HSCoA, CAS No: 18439-24-2, Molecular Formula:: C21H33N7O16P3SLi3, Molecular Weight: 785.33, Appearance: Supplied as a off-white to white cystalline powder. Purity: >97%, Storage and Stability: Store desiccated at -20°C. The solid product is stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Coenzyme A Lithium is soluble up to 50mg/ml in water. It is not stable in aqueous solution and will degrade rapidly when stored in water. A stock solution may be prepared by dissolving in distilled/deionized water or buffer that has been sparged with nitrogen to remove oxygen (heat and/or sonication may be necessary to dissolve the product). The aqueous solution can be stored at 4°C and used within 1 day. It is recommended that the product be dissolved only prior to use.
