This gene for the cJun protein is the putative transforming gene of avian sarcoma virus 17. The protein is highly similar to the viral protein, and interacts directly with specific target DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. The gene for this protein is intronless and is mapped to 1p32-p31, a chromosomal region involved in both translocations and deletions in human malignancies. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Dot Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Dot Blot: 1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
