Transforming Growth Factor beta RIII (TGF-beta RIII) is a transmembrane proteoglycan that binds TGF-beta with high affinity. TGF-b RIII lacks a cytoplasmic signaling domain and functions as an accessory receptor that enhances efficient TGF-b2 binding and signaling. A soluble form of the receptor can be released by proteolytic cleavage of the membrane-bound form. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 2-8ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma cells with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant human TGF-B RIII (aa21-786). Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
