Anti-Synaptonemal Complex Protein 3 (SCP3, SCP-3, SYCP3, COR1, MGC71888, RNASCP3) (Biotin)

The synaptonemal complex is a proteinaceous complex that apparently mediates synapses during the zygotene stage and then disintegrates. It is a complex structure that unites homologous chromosomes during the prophase stage of meiosis. It is the result of chromosome pairing interactions and not the cause of them. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoflourescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoflourescence: 1:100-1:750, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:750, Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
