Anti-Sir2.1 (Silent Information Regulator 2)

Sir2 (silent information regulator 2) protein plays a crucial role in regulating the life span of C. elegans by means of caloric restricion. Overexpression of the protein can extend the life span, and is, thus, a regulator of longevity. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen/paraffin): 1:200-1:500, Western Blot: 1:3000, Immunoprecipitation: 1:10-1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
