Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) acts as a signal transducer that generates 2 second messengers, diacylglycerol and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate, by hydrolyzing inositol phospholipids. PLC comprises a diverse family of enzymes that differ in structure and tissue distribution (Berridge, 1993 [PubMed 8381210]). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-500, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
