Product information "Anti-PARK7 (Protein DJ-1, Oncogene DJ1, Parkinson Disease Protein 7)"
DJ-1, otherwise known as PARK7 (Parkinson disease protein 7), a member of the peptidase C56 family, highly expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, pancreas, liver, kidney and testis, which plays a role in transcriptional regulation and reaction to anti-oxidative stress. DJ-1 exhibits cell-growth promoting and transforming activity, and protects neurons against oxidative stress and cell death. Defects in PARK7 are responsible for the autosomal recessive disorder early onset Parkinson disease 7. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml, Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
