Neurokinin B Receptor is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide neuromedin K (neurokinin B). It belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. It is associated with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. It is localized to the membrane and is a multi-pass membrane protein. The anchoring of this receptor to the plasma membrane is probably mediated by the palmitoylation of a cysteine residue. The rank order of affinity of this receptor to tachykinins is neuromedin K > substance K > substance P. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
