Anti-NALP12 (NACHT LRR and PYD Containing Protein 12, CLR19.3, Monarch 1, Monarch-1, NLR Family Pyri

NALPs are cytoplasmic proteins that form a subfamily within the larger CATERPILLER protein family. Most short NALPs, such as NALP12, have an N-terminal pyrin (MEFV, MIM 608107) domain (PYD), followed by a NACHT domain, a NACHT-associated domain (NAD), and a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region. The long NALP, NALP1 (MIM 606636), also has a C-terminal extension containing a function to find domain (FIIND) and a caspase recruitment domain (CARD). NALPs are implicated in the activation of proinflammatory caspases (e.g., CASP1, MIM 147678) via their involvement in multiprotein complexes called inflammasomes. NALP12 may mediate activation of CASP1 via ASC and promote activation of NF-kappa-B via IKK. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200. Frozen, Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000. Paraffin, Immunoprecipitation: 1:50-1:200, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
