Anti-Ki-67 (Antigen Identified by Mab Ki-67, KIA, MKI67, Proliferation Related Ki-67 Antigen)

Ki67 antigen is the prototypic cell cycle related nuclear protein, expressed by proliferating cells in all phases of the active cell cycle (G1, S, G2 and M phase). It is absent in resting (G0) cells. Ki67 antibodies are useful in establishing the cell growing fraction in neoplasms. In neoplastic tissues the prognostic value is comparable to the tritiated thymidine-labelling index. The correlation between low Ki67 index and histologically low-grade tumors is strong. Ki67 is routinely used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:3200, Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200, Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-1:200, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human lymph node, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
